Position Summary

The Tutor Recruitment and Selection Manager(RSM) executes the recruitment and selection plan for  tutors within LIDO. Tutors form the core of the organisation, making the learning process come alive and humanising the process. Your role will be to ensure that we hire the best possible candidates for this position through your astute observational skills, on-task organisation and strong social intelligence. You are also responsible for creating a high quality candidate experience which allows the  prospective candidate to build an emotional investment in LIDO

Responsibilities

Recruitment  of Candidates

  • Executing the recruitment strategy and operational plan set by the Recruitment Head 
  • Managing  existing partnerships with a wide range of internal and high-level external stakeholders such as heads of colleges and corporates, 
  • Investigating and researching new partnership potentials, in the region and nationally, that will help the Recruitment team year on year

Selection of Candidate

    • Ensuring that the selection process is carried out with efficiency and accuracy while making sure that empathy and care for the applicant is at the heart of it
    • Designing a high quality candidate experience right from the time when the candidate expresses interest in  LIDO until the candidate is hired
    • Managing the recruitment platform and sifting through candidates based on competencies and the selection rubric
    • Conducting and reviewing demo lessons prepared by the candidates
    • Maintaining detailed reports and logging of each candidate’s application status.
    • Primary liason between the organisation and the candidate for FAQs and troubleshooting
    • Scheduling interviews for shortlisted candidates
    • Conducting interviews for shortlisted candidates
    • Negotiating hours and compensation with shortlisted candidates
    • Co-ordinating with HR to send candidates the final offer letter
    • Guiding them through the first day of on-boarding

Talent Analytics

    • Create a framework for generation of regular hiring-related reports
    • Formulate hypotheses and conduct regular data analysis
    • Loop back feedback and inputs to relevant stakeholders in the hiring process
    • Enable creation and modification of Job Descriptions and Interview Guides aligned with these insights

Minimum Qualifications, Skills and Competencies

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in any field
  • 2+ years of  work experience dealing with people 
  • Strong goal orientation and laser-like focus on outcome
  • Strong focus on driving excellence and depth in this role
  • Excellent project planning, project management and organisational skills
  • Ability to maintain a demanding travel schedule and work long hours (especially at key milestones in the Recruitment cycle like Recruitment deadlines)
  • Strong relationship building (BRIO) and communication skills to deliver compelling messages through oral and written medium to diverse stakeholders
  • Ability to work through uncertainty and create their own structures
  • Ability to adapt to changing circumstances
